“For me,
maps are art.”
Eric Olason has spent 25 years making maps. His work spans cartographic illustration, publishing, tourism, terrain, and the many ways a place can be represented on a page.
Originally from Whatcom County, Washington, Eric holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art & Design. After living and working in Thailand for twenty years, he now calls Seattle home.
Visions of Seattle extends that lifelong practice into an exploration of individuality. The 2027 Collection brings together a selection from this expanding body of work. The same map remains the starting point for every distinct expression.
